Art is more than just visuals—it is a reflection of identity, culture, and imagination. With this in mind, Jetti proudly launched its first-ever student art competition, themed Perlas ng Silangan. The competition served as a platform for students across the country to showcase their creative talents and share their interpretation of the Philippines as the Pearl of the Orient.
From the beginning, the contest drew overwhelming participation. Dozens of remarkable entries poured in from student-artists who expressed their visions through paint, lines, and color. Each submission carried with it not just skill, but also the heart of a Filipino eager to tell their story through art.
The competition was honored to have Mr. Douglas Dumanon II as judge—a distinguished professor from De La Salle University, a practicing artist, and a respected member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) since 1999. With his experience and artistic insight, he evaluated each entry based on Creativity, Impact, Quality, and Originality, all while anchored on the central theme of Perlas ng Silangan.
From all the talented entries, 12 winners were chosen, each one a testament to the creativity and brilliance of Filipino youth. Among them, three student-artists stood out at the very top:
